With this extended time off, I’m sort of looking for things to do that arent too computer focused, given when I’m working I am all computer, all the time.
I’ve therefore taken up making sourdough, 4 years behind everybody else.
I’m using a tartine recipe, partly becuase thats what everybody on reddit is using, and partly becuase the bread is great.
I have suprised myself by immediately getting quite good results, which is suprising becuase I tried to learn how to make bread with yeast ages in my 20s and just got sort of dense logs.
I’ve also contiuned making biang biang noodles. I cannot biang them so I am rolling them out but they still slap.
finally finished the book that inspired me to start listening to birds. despite loving listening to birds, the book was very dull cannot reccomend.
Went to visit my mum and attend the annual japanese garden society. Went on a garden tour. I cannot comprehend how quickly I’ve suddenly become incredibly middle aged.
